KINDERGYM JUNIOR (3 YRS)
These classes start by introducing the child to the sport of Gymnastics. Beginning skills are taught, and continue through primary skills and basic development. Parent does not participate in this class. Welcome to the BIG GYM! This high energy, action packed class is sure to foster healthy independence and confidence. Teachers and parents will work together to introduce key concepts such as taking turns, sharing, listening and following directions. Our carefully designed Parent and Me activities will capture your child’s imagination while developing gross motor skills and early gymnastics activities. Following instructions, waiting in line, and following teacher's instruction are all practiced in this class. This series begins with a class for children who have little or no experience in the sport of Gymnastics, we focus on proper form and increased endurance. Typically this is the first structured activity for these kids. No parents here...three year olds are on their own! Three year old Kindergym Junior students are learning how to stay with a group, beginning to understand and follow directions and are developing independence from their parent. Our lesson plans will build on those concepts while introducing your child to physical activities that will engage their imagination while developing gross motor strength, coordination and early gymnastics fundamentals
KINDERGYM (4-5 YRS)
This series begins with a class for children who have little or no experience in the sport of Gymnastics, this class focuses on proper form and increased endurance. No parent involvement. Watch out, the Mighty Bees are ready to learn! The Kindergym class is designed for 4 and 5 year olds whohave previously taken a class, are currently in preschool (or going into preschool if enrolling in the summer) and who follow directions and are ready for a faster paced class. At this age, your child has gained listening skills which allow for more opportunities to learn. Forward and backward rolling, cartwheels, and handstands begin to take shape. By creatively incorporating more skill development into our lesson plans, your child will get hooked on learning!
BEGINNING GYMNASTICS ( 5 YRS +)
This fast paced class is perfect for active kids. Beginning Gymnastics is a 55 minute long class designed to build coordination, agility, strength and speed and perfect for boys and girls 6 years and up. This class is for those who need to learn the basics, get a bit stronger, and learn the beginnings of the sport. This is the place to start.
INTERMEDIATE GYMNASTICS (6 YRS+)
This class is for those children who have the basics down, and are ready to be challenged with more advanced skills. These children have the strength and capability to focus on more difficult skills, and are able to handle being challenged. They have overcome the typical fear on the events, and are comfortable taking on the new skills, and challenges. This class requires a solid foundation, it will typically not be where your child begins their lessons, but should be available after learning the basics, and to be ready to move on to more advanced skills. Teacher Evaluation necessary
INTERMEDIATE CHEERLEADING (6 YRS+)
This class will focus on all aspects of Cheerleading. Tumbling, Jumps, Motions, Stunting, Cheers, Dance, and MORE. This class is the place to maintain your skills, and to progress with a solid foundation. We will help you to discover exactly what Cheerleading style might be best suited for you and your family. School Cheerleading, and All Star Cheerleading are very different, and we can help you investigate what style will work best for your child and for your family. This class requires a solid foundation, it will typically not be where your child begins their lessons, but should be available after learning the basics, and to be ready to move on to more advanced skills. Backhandspring is REQUIRED for enrollment into this class.
ROUGH AND TUMBLE
This is the class for kids who want to learn to safely flip, flop, and to get out some energy. The ones you worry about when you're not watching them, and are unsure of what they might "try" next. It is a structured class, but does not focus on strict Gymnastics or Tumbling apparatus. One day we might do more cardio work, one day more strengthening, we will always tumble, and have a great time, but it is not a specific curriculum geared toward any one sport. This is the class for Off-Season athletes, those that might need to get stronger, learn to use and control their bodies more efficiently, and to get an overall improvement in their athleticism. Also great for kids with extra "wiggles". We keep moving, so there is very little down time, this tends to help those kids with issues waiting, being impatient, and who need a little more assistance in class situations.
ADULT GYMNASTICS/TUMBLING
Exactly what you think!!!! From beginner to advanced, this class is for everyone! Whether you've always wanted to take Gymnastics or Tumbling, or you have been trained for years, this class will allow you to learn skills or to perfect what you already know. Less structured in order to allow various levels of athletes.
BEGINNING TUMBLING
This class is for those who are interested only in the Floor aspect of Gymnastics, and those kids who are dreaming of becoming a Cheerleader. It does not include any work on the events such as Balance Beam, Uneven or Parallel Bars, or Vault. Just the floor.
